The evening of the 9th May saw me become a VIP for the very first time, and let me tell you, I would happily do it all over again!

I was invited to the SS18 Fashion Live VIP preview show at intu Metrocentre on Wednesday and it was such a great event.

​

Along with local bloggers from the North East, I not only saw an exclusive preview of the upcoming pieces for the new season, but I also was gifted amazing goodie bags as well as a complimentary hand and arm massage and not forgetting the nibbles and drinks on arrival!

​

With over 300 stores, intu Metrocentre is one of the country’s largest shopping centres and there is certainly something for everyone.

​

Our VIP evening began with drinks on arrival as well as delicious canapes. I was then offered a hand and arm massage by a lovely lady from Molten Brown, which is within House of Fraser. Of course, I didn’t hesitate to take up the offer and within minutes I felt relaxed and at ease as we chatted about the evening. 

​

After mingling with fellow VIPs, we were then asked to take a seat. With a front row view and goodie bags for everyone, the show began with an introduction from Anna Foster from BBC Newcastle radio and then out came the models wearing the latest looks from a selection of the stores at intu Metrocentre. 

​

Below are some of my favourite looks from the night.

First up was Topshop. Admittedly, I don’t tend to shop at Topshop that often, but after seeing their upcoming looks on the catwalk, I shall definitely be paying a visit now.

 

With vibrant colours, predominately hot orange, these looks are perfect for adding a pop of colour to your wardrobe if it’s looking a bit muted due to last season.

 

Next was New Look, a personal high-street favourite of mine. 

Similar to Topshop, these looks will inject colour into your wardrobe including the colour of the moment- yellow, seen here for something to be worn by everyone. Whether you’re feeling bold and choose the 3 piece yellow floral outfit, or whether you just want to inject the colour be it in a top or in some shoes, New Look has the colour sorted for everyone to incorporate into their wardrobe this summer.

 

Another one of my favourites includes a monochrome take on summer from Evans.

Not everyone is bold enough to rock the summer brights that this season often throws at us. Evans understood this problem and presented their latest looks all in monochrome- a classic style that will never go out of fashion and perfect in any season. These looks would look great wherever summer takes you-  whether you’re stuck in an office, out for drinks with friends or even a meal out on holiday. And if you were feeling adventurous with colour, you could add a subtle pop in your jewellery as seen on these looks.

 

My final favourite looks from the evening came from Coast- the ultimate luxury in occasion wear.

 

Again, with bright colours for summer, Coast pulled out all the stops for their latest collection. Perfect for if you’ve got a special occasion coming up this summer such as a wedding, christening and certainly if you’re attending ladies’ day. With both jumpsuits and dresses, these looks will suit a variety of shapes and sizes and will make you feel like a princess for the day.

And those are my top picks from the VIP evening at intu Metrocentre for their SS18 collections.
